Favorite Things in the 515 - The Val Air & Tom Archer’s
You know I love live music, but you may not know that I love a supper club. A strange love affair for a woman that doesn’t eat things with feet, but it’s a nostalgia for my youth. Fortunately, Adam and I come from the same planet of culinary tastes and both revere supper clubs.
First the venue...it is still delightful in the ways you want but upgraded in the ways you deserve. The sound and access to good views are unparalleled. The acts are varied enough that you should go no matter your taste. I saw a metal festival on Mother’s Day eve and will be there for three more shows of all different genres yet this year.
Tom Archer’s Supper Club is a delight. The nostalgia is appropriately served, not to overwhelm. The service and details are spot on, down to the hotel service carts and the bathroom toiletries. With two visits under my belt I can attest this is a keeper. The specials are superbly crafted, Amy and I had the pesto morel special on one visit, and they were divine. On another visit Adam and I loved our shared combo of walleye and Maryland crab cakes that were beautiful compliments to their classic drink menu and side options. We enjoyed appetizers, classic cocktails and a wonderful evening. You should too!
